Develop ing tendency of ma jor agronom ic characters
of early - ma tur ity soybean s in He ilongjiang prov ince

Abstract: The genetic imp rovement tendency of main agronomic characters of early - maturity soybean varie2
ties developed by Heilongjiang in the last 20 years showed that pods with 3, 4 seeds, pods per p lant, seed weight
per p lant, p lant heigh, number of branches and effective nodes tended to increase obviously, whereas bottom pod
height decreased. Seeds per p lant, seeds per pod, 100 - seed weight and p rotein content increased in early years
and decreased in later years. In contrast, oil content tended to decrease in early years and increase in later years.
